Built by Clérise

Hello, I’m Clérise.

I think in systems. I am direct, practical, and happiest when I am solving a problem by building something.

For seven years I worked in remote customer support: player support for AAA games, then managing an international e-commerce team of 20 at Amazon, then leading escalations for mobile game launches. I kept running into the same thing: the people were fine, the systems around them were not. So I learnt to build them. I finished HyperionDev's full-stack bootcamp early, at the top of my cohort, and spent two years as a full-stack developer for a team in Amsterdam.

I also run my own businesses. HCreations Embroidery Blanks supplies blanks to embroiderers across South Africa; I run it with three women who work for me, and I rebuilt its shop myself. That mix of support, engineering and business is what I bring to a team: I know what the code is for.

Timeline

How I got here

  1. 2015

    Freelance, remote

    South Africa

My first remote work. I have worked from home ever since, with backup power and a proper connection.

  2. 2015 – 2019, 2022

    Player support

    5CA

Support for AAA games such as Fortnite, Assassin’s Creed, NBA 2K and WWE. I wrote macros, escalation protocols and knowledge-base articles, and onboarded and trained agents.

  3. 2019

    Started SpottedMooDigitizing

    Etsy

Machine-embroidery designs, digitised stitch by stitch. My first business, and still open.

  4. 2019 – 2021

    E-commerce Team Manager

    Amazon

Led an international team of 20: KPIs, process improvements and hiring.

  5. 2021 – 2022

    Player Account Manager

    Officium Labs / Arise Gaming

Escalation lead for Game of Thrones: Conquest, and I set up the support structure for the launch of Harry Potter: Magic Awakened. Somewhere in there I realised I wanted to build the systems, not only work around them.

  6. 2022 – 2023

    Full Stack Web Development

    HyperionDev

Over 800 hours of project-based training: React, Node.js, Express, MongoDB, and some Laravel, PHP and SQL. I graduated early with a final average of 100%, first in my cohort.

  7. Dec 2023 – Dec 2025

    Full Stack Developer

Sterrk IT Recruitment & Consultancy, Amsterdam (remote)

Vue 3 and TypeScript front-ends, a custom WordPress theme, and project leadership. When leadership changed hands, I wrote the documentation that carried the team through it.

  8. 2026

    Rebuilt HCreations and started FEW

    Built by Clérise

Replaced my own shop’s WooCommerce with Laravel and Vue, and took on FEW Cutting Tools: a website, a shop, a sales dashboard and a factory calculator.

  9. Dec 2026

    BSc Computer Science

    Unisa

Completing in December 2026, after seven years of self-study alongside work.

Looking for

What I want next

  • A full-time role, not freelance.
  • Intermediate level, front-end or full-stack, with Vue as my strongest tool. Roles that mix in tech lead or product work are welcome.
  • Remote: South Africa or international, the Netherlands especially. My home office has backup power and a reliable connection.

Off the clock

When I’m not building

I keep a journal to spot patterns. I build Pokémon TCG decks. I play puzzle, exploration, builder and automation games, and I paint with watercolours.

“CS2? I like it. Or, well, no. But yes. But no.”

Designed and built by Clérise with Vue 3 and TypeScript.
